Podcasts

Well... I've been downloading and listening to a bunch of different knitting podcasts via my ipod. Since I travel 3 hours round trip to get to work, I have a lot of time on my hands to knit and listen to people talking about knitting. I haven't been doing much knitting on the train as of late but I think I'm going to try to get into it more. Small projects work best and I'm not working on anything small at the moment. I'd like to learn how to make socks but I've been having troubles teaching myself via books and the www. I just can't get a hold of those needles right. Anway... back to the podcasts... I've tried several and so far, my favorite is one called Cast-On. I'm going to try to add a link to it on my blog so that you can check it out! More next time and I'll give you a sneak peak into my current project.

The title of this post caught my eye (of course, since I podcast!) and I wanted to suggest trying the "Magic Loop" method of knitting socks. I have a hard time with the DPNs, they are just so fidgety to me, but knitting socks with the Magic Loop is smooth and easy. Matter of fact, I am knitting a pair right now that require being on DPNs, and oh! Such a headache!
